The Namibia Institute for Democracy hosted a Women's Breakfast on Thursday 7 March, 2019. It was held at the Lemon Tree Restaurant, Eros in honour of International Women's Day under the theme “Women, Democracy and Elections".
The event was filled with 50 aspiring women from diverse backgrounds and sectors. The Speakers included Honourable Councillor Ruusa Namuhuja, who delivered the keynote speech for the event. Erica Gebhardt from One Africa Television/99FM, Jamie-Lee Diergaardt helped the women create their own vision board, Mari De Klerk from The School of life gave a presentaion positive thinking and mental health. Anne Gebhardt who was a guest speaker from the House of Women based her speech on around topics such as Gender Based Violence and women empowerment.
