The NID recently conducted a baseline study in the Kavango East Region under the topic Protection of Natural Resources in Namibia Campaign: Focusing on Rosewood funded by Transparency International (TI).
The aim of this study was to enhance public access to comprehensive, accurate, relevant and current information on rosewood so that Namibians can have the tools to make informed decisions; To protect the countries natural resources as well as to assist the community members and nation at large to access and understand the negative impact the illegal cutting of Rosewood has.
