The Namibia Institute for Democracy (NID), founded in 1991, implements civic education, civil society development, socio-political survey and research, and anti-corruption programmes in Namibia.
NID's Executive Director Naita Hishoono was invited as a speaker by the Fridtjof-Hansen Academy for Political Education in Ingelheim, Germany.
To facilitate further development through social and political action people to people dialogue is necessary. NID's Executive Director Naita Hishoono was invited as a speaker by the Fridtjof-Hansen Academy for Political Education in Ingelheim, Germany. The purpose of the visit is to create awareness of the Ovaherero/Nama and Damara genocide and build a way forward between the two countries. This includes recognising the value of international collaboration for the purpose of human development and knowledge sharing which will be mutually beneficial to citizens of both countries.
