Churches have an important role to play when it comes to creating a better standard of living for Namibian citizens. NID hosted a civic education workshop for different church groups in Omararu. The objective of this intervention was to educate the participants about democracy, good governance, leadership, and the fundamental human rights. The sessions further aimed to teach the participants how to advocate for basic services, such as water, electricity, healthcare and decent housing. The theme of this workshop was ‘The Church and Youth as Democratic Influencers’.
