The Namibia Institute for Democracy (NID), founded in 1991, implements civic education, civil society development, socio-political survey and research, and anti-corruption programmes in Namibia.
Civic Education
Civic education is the cornerstone of all successful democracies. We firmly believe that extensive civic education should be included in our national school curriculum. So that all citizens are taught about our political system, the rule of law, their fundamental human rights, the Namibian Constitution, and how to make a positive contribution in society. Below are pictures of our recent workshop which was conducted for church leaders in Grootfotein.
