As founder member of the NID in 1991 he has extensive
experience in the overall coordination and implementation
of projects funded by a variety of donors in Namibia,
such as civic education, integrity promotion, anti-corruption,
organizational management skills and the administration
of small grants to local civil society organizations programs.

He has participated internationally in a number of conferences
relating to anti-corruption, civic education, civil
society development and organizational management and
designs and conducts management training programs for
a wide range of organizations in Namibia. He holds a
Masters Degree in Business Leadership (MBL) from the
University of South Africa Business School (2000) and
a Masters Degree in Communications (1992).

Naita has wide experience in leading teams and networks
of rurally based Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and
Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in conducting development
projects in Namibia. In this process, she assists, trains
and provides technical assistance to such CSOs and NGOs
to interact with relevant authorities, addresses their
training needs,and includes CSOs and NGOs in national
civic |
education, public awareness and research programs on
issues such as anti-corruption, voter education and
HIV/AIDS.

Naomi is currently responsible for the implementation
of the civil society elections observer program. She is
an experienced trainer in advocacy skills, and has conducted
several communal land reform workshops for farmers unions,
communal and commercial farmers. She is spearheading an
educational campaign on anti-corruption in schools and
responsible for seven study circles in the Kunene and
Hardap regions. She is involved in civil society activism
in empowerment programs for |
disadvantaged
women as well as violence against women and children.
She is a member to the Genocide Committee of the Southern
Traditional Council, serving as translator in consultative
meetings with the Namibian President and other government
officials.

Uakundja Lucas Katjiremba

Lucas has been a civic educator with the NID since 1992,
during which time he has conducted numerous civic education
workshops, programs and campaigns on principles of multi-party
democracy throughout Namibia. He participated in a trainer
development workshop in Marburg, Germany in 1995, and
was part of an international civil society elections observation
team in Malawi in 1999. He obtained a Management and Leadership
certificate from IMLT in 2007 and a Diploma in Political
Science from the University of Western Cape in 2008. |

Erika possesses extensive experience in providing the
administrative and accounting function for multi-donor
programs in Namibia, as well as in administering small
grants programs to CSOs and NGOs, as part of which she
assists such organisations to establish and maintain bookkeeping
and administrative systems to properly account for grants.
Apart from a BComm degree, she holds a Masters in Business
Leadership |

University of South Africa Business School (2003). |

Where required, the NID appoints short-term experts, project
assistants and volunteers on a contract basis to assist
with the implementation of programs. |
